About the Artist

Ramon Matheu - Pop Artist in

Maryland Eastern Shore artist and Bay Pop Shop founder Ramon Matheu creates Chesapeake Bay-inspired artwork shaped by a lifelong connection to the region’s wildlife, coastal culture, traditions, and environmental restoration.

Inspiration

The Great Blue Heron is such a unique and beautiful bird. It’s often found standing absolutely still, patiently waiting for its next meal to swim, walk, or hop by. Whether it’s in the shallows of a tidal creek, along the quiet edge of a neighborhood pond, or covertly positioned beside someone’s backyard water garden while helping itself to a collector’s prized koi, the Great Blue Heron always seems completely at home in its surroundings.

There’s something especially peaceful about watching one in those quiet moments, surrounded by calm water and moving only when it needs to. *Heron Tranquility* is my way of capturing that stillness and the natural sense of calm this remarkable bird seems to carry with it.

What is a limited edition?

A limited edition is a release of an artwork limited to a fixed number of prints. The edition size shown for your selected size and format tells you how many prints belong to that edition.

Each limited edition print is individually signed and numbered by Ramon Matheu.

It’s a personal connection to the artist and a distinctive way to bring Ramon’s Chesapeake Bay-inspired artwork into your collection.
