Crabs Come Home — A Chesapeake Sci-Fi Twist!
E.T.'s famous wish to go home got me thinking about a different survivor right here in the Chesapeake Bay: our Maryland Blue Crab. Scientifically known as Callinectes sapidus, these crabs face challenges from pollution, habitat loss, and changing conditions in the Bay.
I created ET Crab as a playful sci-fi twist on that story. Now the Crabs Come Home T-shirt brings the artwork along for the ride, with a little Maryland humor and a reminder that Blue Crabs need a healthy Chesapeake Bay to keep calling these waters home.
