Two Old Friends. One Chesapeake Twist.

Sooky & Woodshuck is my playful take on a familiar black-and-white character from childhood—and probably yours, too. I gave that little bit of nostalgia a Maryland makeover, bringing together Sooky the Blue Crab and Woodshuck, a crusty oyster friend, in a Chesapeake world of their own.

The red crab traps in the artwork nod to watermen who repair their gear between crabbing and oyster seasons. It's a bit of coastal humor with real Bay wildlife and working-waterfront traditions behind it.
